The ARC requires the Network to maintain a register of members, and to collect certain personal information. The purpose of this information is to assist the ARC to evaluate the Network, and to provide statistical information. For example, the ARC is interested in the number of Early Career Researchers who are supported by Network activities. Except as set out below, we will treat this information as confidential and use it only to meet our obligations to the ARC.

A condition of the 2004 Australian Research Council (ARC) Research-Networks Funding Agreement is that The University of Melbourne, as the institution convening the Economic Design Network (EDN), must obtain from each participant verification that they have been informed about ARC policies regarding Ethics, Intellectual Property and Acknowledgement of ARC financial assistance, as well as the terms of the ARC Research-Networks funding Agreement with The University of Melbourne. The ARC Research-Networks Funding Agreement requires The University of Melbourne to provide the Commonwealth Government of Australia with evidence of this verification on request.

In order to meet this requirement, if you would like to become a member of the EDN, please check the following acknowledgement.

I have been informed of the ARC policies regarding Ethics, Intellectual Property, and acknowledgement of ARC financial assistance, as well as the terms of the ARC Research-Networks Funding Agreement with The University of Melbourne in regards to the operation of the EDN.
